We are looking for workshop leaders !

 Within the project "Violence? No, thanks!", which in partnership with Volunteer Centre Osijek from Osijek-baranja County, Youth Peace Group Danube from Vukovar-srijem County, and Coordination of Youth Association Sisak and Family Centre of Sisak-moslavina County from Sisak-moslavina County implements PRONI Centre, the creative workshops – video, music, art, drama, dancing and DJ-ing are in the process of preparing.


Since the workshops are assigned to young people, the aim is to implement all workshops on quality level, thus enabling participants to create and present their outputs according to themes and workshops they participated.

The plan is to implement 15 video workshops (5 in each County), 10 music and 10 art workshops in Sisak-moslavina County, the city of Sisak, 28 art workshops in Osijek-baranja County, the city of Osijek, and 28 dancing and 28 workshops of DJ-ing in Vukovar-srijem County, the city of Vukovar.


Therefore, if you have interest, experience and talent in particular needed field, apply for one of the workshop leader positions.

Introductory workshops

 Due to upcoming implementation of Multimedia Youth Activism, Culture and Art workshops with thematic aim - violence prevention among youth, the trainers from PRONI Centre designed and started with the implementation of "Introductory workshops", in order to provoke interest among youth for participation.  Introductory workshops are designed to be implemented during three days, aiming at raising awareness among youth about youth culture, and importance of citizen and youth activism in violence prevention. Within a programme, participants were introduced with upcoming workshops, aims and expected results. First cycle in row of three has started in Sisak on October 16, the second in Osijek on October 23, while third one started on October 29 in Vukovar, due to implementation of project "Violence? No, thanks!" in three targeted county.



The pupils of last grades of primary schools were preparing for future professions

Within the project „Partnership for Carrier Development” financed by German Marshall Fund, whose holder is Croatian Employment Service, Regional Office Vukovar and project partner PRONI Centre, workshops for the pupils of primary school last grades from Vukovar was organized on October 10, as a part of Choice of Profession Fair.

On the workshops “How to select future profession” aiming at raising the level of informing and self awareness about values and skills important for choosing the school and future profession, 40 pupils of primary school last grades attended. For that purpose, the employees of Vukovar Info Centre for Youth prepared and disseminated Info pack about secondary schools and Recommendations of enrollment policy.



Training on presentation skills held in Orahovica!
As a part of the EU project "28th Star", financed through the Program IPA INFO 2011, in Education Center of Red Cross Osijek in Orahovica, on 5th and 6th October  2013 was held a training on presentation skills. In a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere 14 young people from our region had the opportunity to become aware of their personal strengths and weaknesses related to presentation skills and be prepared for peer presentations in at least 20 high schools. The same training at the same time maintained the partners on the project, the association ZAMISLI in Zagreb, while Info Zone will implement this activity in Split next weekend.
This activity builds on conducted "mass discussion," and the students from the 60 schools in Croatia will be informed about the opinions and adopted conclusions on youth related EU issues.
Violence prevention in secondary schools

In Vukovar school of Economy, on September 26, a 14-days cycle of workshops "Violence prevention among youth" has started. This is a first cycle in row of implementation in Vukovar-srijem, Osijek-baranja and Sisak-moslavina County, aiming at introducing young people with the forms of violence and how to prevent them, as well as to work on violence prevention in partnership relationships, due to fact that those are the most frequent problems among youngsters. The same cycle started on October 2 in Sisak Vocational school, while in Osijek-baranja, in Erdut municipality on October 19 in Secondary school Dalj.

These workshops, including curriculum, programme and working themes, are developed and will be implemented by PRONI Centre trainers and Family Centre of Sisak-Moslavina County expert, and are part of the project "Violence? No, thanks!", which in partnership with local partners from Osijek, Vukovar and Sisak, implements PRONI Centre for Social Education.



IT courses in Vukovar!

 Within a project „Step forward“ , according to schedule, IT education is starting:

-ECDL Start – one group with 9 participants

-ECDL Specialist – two groups with 9 participants

-AutoCad  - one group with 10 participants


This activity will be implemented by Algebra Center in Vukovar, I. G. Kovacic 3 and all groups will start on September 23rd after pretest process about which all participants will be previously informed.


For IT courses pretesting will be on September 17th at 13.00 and September 18th in 10.00 o'clock according to schedule and on address mentioned above.

Introduction to voluntarism

Within the project "Violence? No, thanks!", a new cycles of workshops with youth has started. This time the topic is "Introduction to voluntarism", aiming at improving the knowledge and skills important for volunteering and preparing the participants for volunteering with the purpose of violence prevention among youth. First three-day cycles on which 10 young people participate, has started on September 4 in Osijek, continued in Vukovar on September 17, while the third one started on September 25 in Sisak.
The workshops which implements the trainer from partner organization – Volunteer Centre Osijek, will during September attend 30 young people form Osijek, Vukovar and Sisak.



Focus group "Mobility and youth traveling" held in Vukovar
 Within International Youth day that is celebrated every year on August 12th, Youth Info Center Vukovar in partnership with European Youth Information and Counseling Agency (ERYICA) and Regional Youth Info Center Osijek organized Focus group with subject "Mobility and youth traveling".
Meeting with Pirovac Municipality representatives
 During visit to Pirovac, representatives of PRONI Center met with new elected mayor of Pirovac municipality, Ivan Gulam and his deputy Antun Čubrić and introduce them with work of PRONI Centre and possibilities of mutual cooperation in the area of youth work. During that meeting, representatives of municipality expressed their will for cooperation, specially in implementation of joint projects and using of PRONI training facilities in Pirovac.
Participate, inform...
 PRONI Center participated on the NGO fair in Tenja, organized by the Women's Association "Izvor" from Tenja. The aim of the fair was to encourage linking of civil initiatives, citizens and the local community. PRONI shared a stand with Local Democracy Agency, and it was another opportunity to jointly introduce our projects from IPA INFO 2011.
Also, interesting was the information about the program "Youth in Action", Eurodesk and European youth portal, as well as information on the on-line questionnaire as the beginning of a structured dialogue with young people.
